4 Things to do This Halloweekend

Halloween landed on a Saturday this year, so we get a full weekend of it. Whether you’re a go all out person or a “I’ll figure it out Friday night” person, here are four easy ways to make the most of it.

1. Scary Movie Night

Pick the movie you’ve been putting off and finally commit. Turn the lights down, string up some orange lights, and make it a whole setup. Caramel apples, a big bowl of snack mix, and a couple of spooky drinks go a long way. You don’t need a fancy plan, just a couch and something good to scream at.

Pro tip: watch it with people who actually react. It’s way more fun.

2. Carve a Pumpkin

Grab a pumpkin (or a few) and get your friends to do the same. Make it a little competition and see who ends up with the best face. Even the “oops, that’s crooked” ones have personality.

Don’t toss the seeds. Rinse them, season them, and roast them. They’re a solid snack while you work.

3. Costume Party Hopping

Throw on a costume and hit a party or two. Group costumes are the easiest way to make the night memorable, and the mirror pics alone are worth it. If you’re short on time or energy, low effort totally works. Cat ears count. Face paint counts. Showing up counts.

4. Candy Salad Night

This one is simple and kind of genius. Everyone brings their favorite candy, and it all gets dumped into one big bowl. Mix it up and snack away. You end up with a mix no one could plan, sour next to sweet next to chewy, and everyone finds something they love.

Fair warning: your camera roll will be full of candy bowl photos by the end of the night.

Wrap up

You don’t need a packed schedule to have a good Halloweekend. Pick one or do all four, just make time to hang out with your people.

Happy Halloweekend 🎃
